Why Zeta Construction

What you get with Zeta Construction

  1. 1

    Diagnose first

We inspect the shell, the tile and coping, the plumbing and the equipment before we quote, so the estimate covers the real problem and not only the surface.

  2. 2

    Fix what's underneath

Cracks, delamination, leaks and loose coping are repaired before the new finish goes on. A new surface over an old problem does not last.

  3. 3

    Upgrade while it's empty

A renovation is the best time to add a sun shelf, a spa, new lighting, a heat pump or automation, because the pool is already drained and open.

  4. 4

The deck and the enclosure too

We resurface or replace decks, replace pavers and re-screen or repair enclosures, so the whole backyard looks finished.

Pool renovation and repair in Tampa Bay & Florida’s West Coast

Florida sun, heat and water chemistry wear down every pool over time. Finishes get rough and stained, tile cracks at the waterline, coping loosens and equipment becomes noisy and expensive to run. A renovation brings the pool back, and it is also the chance to make it better than it was.

Repair first, then refinish

The most common mistake in pool renovations is putting a new surface over an old problem. Zeta Construction starts by finding the cause: structural cracks, delaminated plaster, leaking lines or failing coping. We repair the structure and the plumbing first and then apply the new finish, so it bonds and lasts.

Upgrades worth making

With the pool drained, adding a sun shelf, a spa, new lights or a quieter, more efficient pump costs less than doing it later. We show you the options in the estimate and you choose what to include.

Every part of the backyard

We also repair and replace decks and pavers, re-screen enclosures and build outdoor kitchens and lanais. If the house needs work too, we remodel and repair homes with the same team.

FAQ

Pool Renovations: questions we hear

Another question? Call (813) 610-9805

How do I know if my pool needs resurfacing?

Rough or stained surfaces, visible cracks, hollow-sounding or flaking areas, and a pool that is hard to keep balanced are common signs. We inspect it and tell you whether it needs a repair, a resurfacing or both.

How long does a pool renovation take?

A resurfacing with new tile usually takes a couple of weeks, depending on the finish and the weather. Structural repairs, new features or a new deck add time, and the schedule comes with the estimate.

Can you fix a leaking pool?

Yes. We find where the water is going, whether it is the shell, a fitting or a buried line, and repair it. A leak should be fixed before any resurfacing.

Can I convert my pool to saltwater?

In most cases, yes. We install a salt cell and control system sized to your pool and check that the equipment and materials around the pool are suitable for salt.

Can you add a spa or a sun shelf to my existing pool?

Often, yes. It depends on the shell, the space and the plumbing. A renovation is the right moment to do it, because the pool is already drained.

Do you repair screen enclosures?

Yes. We re-screen, replace damaged panels and repair or replace frames, and we can build a new enclosure when the old one is past repair.
