    A structure built to last

Steel reinforcement and a shotcrete shell, engineered for Florida soils and high water tables, with plumbing pressure-tested before it is buried.

  3. 3

    Equipment that saves

Variable-speed pumps, heat pumps, saltwater systems, LED lighting and app control, sized for your pool so it runs quietly and efficiently.

  4. 4

    One contractor for the backyard

The deck, the screen enclosure, the outdoor kitchen and the lighting are designed with the pool and built by the same team.

Custom pool construction in Tampa Bay & Florida’s West Coast

A custom pool is designed for one yard and one family. It starts with your survey: the setbacks, the easements, the slope of the land, where the sun falls in the afternoon and how you want to use the water. From there we design the shape, the depths, the steps and benches, the spa and the features, and we place the equipment where it is quiet and easy to service.

Built in concrete

Concrete pools can take any shape and last for decades when they are built right. Zeta Construction sets the reinforcing steel to the engineering, shoots the shell in shotcrete, pressure-tests the plumbing and lets the structure cure before the tile, the coping and the finish go on. In Florida’s sandy soils and high water tables, that care is what keeps a pool from cracking or shifting.

The backyard as one project

The pool is only part of the backyard. The deck, the screen enclosure, the outdoor kitchen and the pavers work best when they are designed together. And if you are building a new home, the pool can be planned with the house from the first drawing: that is Home + Pool.

FAQ

Custom Pools: questions we hear

Another question? Call (813) 610-9805

How long does it take to build a pool?

Once the permit is approved, the construction of a custom concrete pool usually takes several weeks, depending on its size, the features and the weather. You receive a schedule with the estimate.

How much does a custom pool cost in Tampa Bay and on Florida’s West Coast?

It depends on size, shape, features, finishes and the deck and enclosure around it. After a visit to your yard we prepare an itemized estimate, so you can compare options and see what each one adds.

Do I need a permit and a safety barrier?

Yes. Pools require a building permit, and Florida law requires at least one approved safety feature for residential pools, such as a barrier or fence, door alarms or a safety cover. We include it in the design and the permit.

Saltwater or chlorine?

A saltwater system makes its own chlorine from salt dissolved in the water, which many owners find gentler and easier to maintain. Traditional chlorine has a lower upfront cost. We explain both and size the system to your pool.

Can the pool be heated?

Yes. A heat pump is the most efficient option for most pools on Florida’s West Coast; gas heaters warm the water faster and suit spas. We size the heater to the pool and how you want to use it.

Can you add a screen enclosure?

Yes. We design and build screen enclosures engineered for local wind codes, and we can plan the pool and the enclosure together. See Outdoor Living.
