Why Zeta Construction

What you get with Zeta Construction

  1. 1

    Planned with the pool

Decks, drains, the enclosure footprint and the kitchen utilities are laid out with the pool, so every piece fits and nothing is torn up later.

  2. 2

    Made for Florida weather

Wind-rated enclosures, materials that handle sun and salt, decks that stay cool underfoot and drainage that keeps water away from the house.

  3. 3

    Utilities done right

Gas, water and electrical for the kitchen, lighting and equipment are permitted and inspected, not improvised.

  4. 4

    Repairs and refresh

Not starting from zero? We repair, re-screen, relevel and resurface what you already have.

Outdoor living construction in Tampa Bay & Florida’s West Coast

On Florida’s West Coast the backyard is used almost all year. A good outdoor space connects to the house, protects you from sun, rain and insects, and gives the pool a place to cook, eat and sit. When we build your pool, we design what completes it at the same time: the enclosure sized to the deck, the deck sloped away from the house and the pool, the kitchen near the door to the house and the lighting planned for the evening.

Screen enclosures

A screen enclosure keeps insects and debris out and turns the pool and deck into a usable room. We build new enclosures engineered for the wind code of your site and re-screen or repair existing ones. See screen enclosures.

Pavers and pool decks

A deck that stays level starts below the pavers: excavation, a compacted base, edge restraints and drainage. We build paver and travertine pool decks, patios, walkways and driveways, and we relevel and resurface existing decks. See pavers & pool decks.

Outdoor kitchens

From a built-in grill and counter to a full summer kitchen with a sink, refrigerator and bar seating, we build on masonry bases with durable counters and plan the gas, water and electrical from the start. See outdoor kitchens.

Every custom addition for the patio

Covered lanais and pergolas for shade, fire pits and fire features, lighting and fans, landscaping and drainage. Tell us how you want to use the space and we design the pieces around your pool. Planning a new pool too? See custom pools.

FAQ

Outdoor Living Construction: questions we hear

Another question? Call (813) 610-9805

Do I need a permit for an outdoor kitchen?

When it includes gas, electrical or plumbing connections, or a roof structure, yes. We prepare the permit and the inspections with the rest of the project.

Can you re-screen my existing pool enclosure?

Yes. We replace torn or worn screens, damaged panels and hardware, and we check the frame. If the frame is past repair, we design a new enclosure to the current wind code.

Pavers or travertine for a pool deck?

Both work well. Concrete pavers offer many colors and a lower cost; travertine stays cooler underfoot and has a natural stone look. We bring samples to your yard so you can compare.

Why do some paver decks sink or move?

Usually because of a weak base or poor drainage. We excavate, compact the base in layers, set the edge restraints and plan the drainage before the pavers go down.

Can you add a roof over my lanai?

Often, yes. A covered lanai roof has to be engineered and tied into the house correctly, and it needs a permit. We design it to match the home's roof.
